Two years ago, we hosted BCON LA, and by all accounts it was an incredible event to attend. Inspiring talks, packed rooms, and that rare feeling you get when a community really shows up for itself. We’re aiming to do it again. Possibly even better.

And yes, we want you there.

Key takeaways

  • BCON North America 2026 takes place April 13 to 14 in Austin, Texas
  • Tickets are officially on sale now
  • Speaker submissions are open, including talks, workshops, and demos
  • If you’ve ever thought about speaking at a Blender conference, this is your moment

What Is BCON North America?

BCON is the official Blender conference series, with its flagship event held each year in Amsterdam. BCON North America brings that same energy, care, and community focus stateside.

This is not a giant trade show. It’s a focused, creator-driven conference built around learning, sharing, and connecting with people who actually use Blender every day.

Austin gives us a great backdrop for that. Central location, creative energy, and a venue that lets talks, workshops, and hallway conversations happen naturally.

Tickets Are On Sale Now

If you’re planning to attend, tickets are available now.

A conference like this fills up faster than you think, especially for people traveling in. Locking in a ticket early means you can stop worrying about it and start looking forward to April.

Call for Speakers Is Open

Of course, the cornerstone of a great conference is having great speakers. Maybe you could be one of them.

Much like the main BCON in Amsterdam, BCON North America features:

  • Main stage talks in a TED style format
  • Workshops and demos in dedicated breakout spaces
  • Sessions designed to spark real “ah ha” moments

If you have an idea that teaches, inspires, or challenges the Blender community in a meaningful way, we want to hear it.

You do not need to be a household name. You do need a solid idea and the willingness to share what you know.

Speaker submission details

  • Proposal deadline: February 1, 2026
  • Acceptance notifications: February 14, 2026
  • Final materials due: March 15, 2026

Why We’re Excited (And Why You Should Be Too)

Events like BCON matter. They remind us that Blender is more than software. It’s a global group of artists, developers, educators, and curious minds who get better by learning together.

Whether you come to attend, speak, or just soak it all in, BCON North America 2026 is shaping up to be something special.

We’d love to see a strong CG Cookie presence in the crowd and on stage.
