Is this course appropriate for complete beginner in drawing stuff?

I have no experience in drawing characters or anything really.

Does this course cover necessary fundamentals of creating 2d art?

You don't need to know how to draw to learn things from this course, but it doesn't really teach how to draw in blender. For that you will want to go through the Draw Course. However if you are looking to learn to actually draw then you will want to checkout some other course on here. I have created a playlist. I'm not sure on the order since I haven't watched all of them yet. So the order may be kind of all over the palace.

You can also check out the library filtered by traditional 2D.

Also if you find any YouTube channels that are good I'd love to check them out.

Yeah as in with sculpting, you basically need to have a basis of knowing how to illustrate in order to get out whatever is in your imagination and onto the screen. That falls under the Concept Art department and it's totally a different skillset. Every 3D artist wishes he knew how to illustrate, because it is the core of the arts I would say. And surprise surprise, most 3D artists can't illustrate or draw, and those that know, usually stick around doing concepts. But those who jump over to 3D are killing it.

No not really. Draw (free to watch and follow) covers the basics of learning how to use Grease Pencil. This course specifically focuses on techniques for creating a character turnaround.

I found this resource, it seems like decent starting point for newbies like me. Thought I'd share and ask if it's good.

Because I'm also a little stuck at Draw, where we make a sketch for final project... like, where do I even put lines to make it resemble something / anything...?

You ,ight be interested to know I am currently putting together a course specifically about this! Title is yet to be decided on, but it will focus on the fundamentals of drawing for absolute beginners! I will be using Grease Pencil as the tool, but the techniques discussed are transferrable and universal.
