That's because Blender can't find a Texture, that you are using. Either on the Chest itself, or in the World (Environment).

I just looked at the File inquestion and the Image files for the Textures have not been included (Packed) in the .blend:

Not sure if this is an oversight, or because this is the result from a paid Course....I'll ask around.

Being the Blender Basics and a free course on YouTube, it was probably not meant for people to follow along like in a proper course, so not having the file sin there makes sense. Since it's just an introduction of Blender, Paul used the chest from the actual chest course, so I'm guessing the files will stay with the treasure chest course? 

Paul is going to fix it! He will re-upload the file with the correct Image Textures.

Hi there! Yes, apologies, I did not pack the textures properly. I have now fixed this and re-uploaded the course files for you. Treasure Chest should look correct.
