This is just a preview of my Halloween pumpkin for the challenge, still more to do 😁
I am struggling with the bloom effect wich now we need to do this differently, any advice welcome.
iirc Kent has a tip for faking a glow using a radial gradient texture in the planet session of his Minimalism course. That might be a simple option. Otherwise, bloom is done in the compositor now...which might give you the opportunity to play with other compositing effects as well!
I guess you can try adding some lights on the back with some volumetrics, to get that spooky vibe going. Since it is at night, you can tone down the amount of light overall, get some darkness going for a dramatic mood.
