After tackling the Fundamentals and the Macro Sessions courses, watching the Pot Head, and inspired by the NHL playoffs, I have decided to try a project entirely on my own. This is what I came up with as my very first models, and I'm pretty pleased with the result.
At first I thought modeling and UV Unwrapping would be the most challenging, but those went very smoothly. Lighting is by far the hardest thing to do, I believe.
I have made a different iteration for each of the teams I work with just as an excuse to learn and play with the Asset Browser.
While the same asset is in a project marked as Work-In-Progress, I believe the modeling is finally complete on this.
That other project will remain in-progress while I figure out the animations/motion graphics part of it. Let me know what you think, and if you have any ideas for better lighting for presenting a model like this.
I guess you guys can be relieved.. no more questions on this one! Lol
Just as lewis said the attention to detail is amazing.
looks like something you would see in a advert :)
Thank you for the kind words Ewan! I appreciate it :)
Amazing work and attention to detail. Looks professionally done to me :)
Thank you Lewis! I really appreciate that! Makes me feel less bad for spending so much time tweaking the minor details.
Well done nathitappan
Awesome work.
Thank you Adrian!
You never gave up and persevered Nat, that is amazing work. You have the GRIT in you, that is the best superpower a human can have. Congrats on such an awesome result 🤘
Thanks Omar! For both the kind words and the invaluable help along the way!
I'll say it again - great work. All those little details really make it look like professional work. Could very well run on sports channels.
That's awesome to hear Sascha! Thank you! I did this for fun/learning as a personal project, but since I used teams I actually work with as reference I might pitch it to be used with them, we'll see. I'm pretty positive they would have use for it in arena, but whether it makes it or not to broadcast I'm not entirely sure. 🤷🏻♀️
