How is this not a photo? I demand evidence! I want to see some wireframes. And then after you post the wireframes, I demand more evidence, I want to see the 3D scene. And then after you post the 3D scene I demand more evidence and I want to see it in edit mode and see the topology. And then I will demand more evidence, I want to see a picture of your mouse and keyboard that were clicked when this was worked on. And then a picture of your hand clicking the mouse.
Awesome job! The biggest critique that stands out to me, and this is something I see a lot that people just don't really think about, but is one of the things that can easily make someone see this as a render, and that's the stacks on matched sets are too perfectly aligned. If you look at a stack of dishes in your own kitchen, even if every single plate was from the same set, there would still be a small amount of randomness to the placing of the plates in the stack... Just a couple of mm variation in the positioning can really help. Doesn't even have to be much. Similar idea to the way the books aren't perfectly stacked. It's really more of a nitpick, but is attention to details like that which can make a piece really stand out. (Not that this doesn't already stand out as a really well done piece :D )
That buble glass vase is a nice touch! and love the texturing throughout!
You're absolutely right about the stacks. Especially for portfolio pieces this is a very valuable tip.
As a matter of fact I actually do mention this in one of the late chapters in Craftsman, so I'm with you there.

I didn't realize until after I'd made that comment that you were the instructor :D

Woah! I had to look thrice to convince myself the top one wasn't a photo 🧐
Awesome job, Sascha!
I love the distorted glass panes in the cabinet and I am head over heels for the bubble glass vase! That looks so good! Oddly enough, I was just pondering how to create that sort of bubble effect for a "resin pour" piece. Probably with icosphere particles?
Thanks, coyo.
Resin pour piece, eh? That sounds interesting. Been playing around with material for that myself.
Icosphere particles are the way to go, that's how this was made. Added the tutorial link to the description.

I had all that evidence, but Moose ate it. 😝
