Reality or "Reality"? Work In Progress

So I had a random thought pop up in my head. Thought about an ad for the Matrix pills. Not sure what brought it up, but I started working on a model. WIP still, going to add some sort of marketing text. Maybe play with the shaders some more. This more or less started as a, "lets try and model something in 10min", and ended up with this.

Long Revision 1 (render 2): started a new project and remodeled the capsules, made a dish for the capsules. Ran a rigid body sim on the caps falling into the dish. Realized I didn't have enough pills. Duplicated 3x. Ran sim again. 👍Poifect! Set up about 5 lights. This render I went with strictly blue and red lighting. I like the dark, almost fitting to the real world in the matrix.

Anyway, on to playing with lighting and product renders.

  • I like how the pills seem to be glowing. I think a darker background would make the pills pop even more.

I'm a red pill guy always. Maybe you should see how lines of codes inside the pills or on the surface of the pills look. Could be a cool addition.

That's an amazing idea!! I've been thinking of a few different ways to spice them up (no pun intended), I have a marketing animation in mind, Claude(AI) has been helping me with marketing tag lines lol

  • Matrix was definitely the first thing that popped into my mind looking at this, without reading the description.
Crack a blue one and a red one, mix the goop together -> rule the matrix with the purple pill! Movie over :D

I'm glad it had that readability, although, when I think about it, I'm pretty sure red and blue pills are just synonymous with The Matrix now haha

  • The shading and lighting is so scrumptious! Simply staring at the image is pleasing to the eyes. I always forget which pill does what, so I’ll just take one of each.

I probably spend more time in the compositor than I did modeling haha. So much fun making those colors and lighting pop.
