Pothead results Final

Here’s the results of my pothead project. While I typically like to go a bit more ‘above and beyond’, I decided to simply see how close I could get to replicating the source image (including adding a smoke sim for the steam effect). A FANTASTIC course though and I’m so excited to have a better understanding of uv unwrapping techniques, texture painting, and procedural materials! ☺️

    Super awesome result Joe. Great modeling, texturing and shading. Also incredibly good lighting, it accentuates everything of the character without any blow out. Top job 🤙

      Only thing I wish I had done was scale up my “hero object” UV islands more and pinned them before letting blender pack the rest of the islands. Head/pot/torso were all fine. But things like the hands/legs/feet, the resolution coulda been better. As this was my first true UV unwrap with texture painting and procedural materials, in the moment I didn’t realize the impact the island size would have until after texture painting. But it was a GREAT lesson to learn and I’m feeling WAY more materials-confident after that course 😁
