I needed to explore color green in my works. So, Amazon jungles were the perfect fit for mood exploration. This story is about an after-human civilization that lives in reborn fauna and rides exotic creatures. I’ve named these orange animals as “primate artiodactyls”. The main problem was to invent new anatomy by adding elements of previous organisms.
I’ve revisited animal and human anatomy books of Michael Hampton and Eliot Goldfinger. After some research, the goal was to create something absurd, yet pleasant. Both the creature and the person are sculpted/textured in 3d-coat (Step 4).
The creature design is excellent. In the final render, I don't think you can see the cool work you've done on the face design of the rider.
