Years ago I stumbled upon a video about a similar device. They seem so neat.
Challenged myself to make a proper "clock" with geometry nodes. Here of course each digit is separate thing. So the "clock" switches material for the digit that need to be lit up.
I made one of these a few years back(a real one) and this looks spot on! Awesome job!
