Februari 2022 Challenge entry.

Since I started the Human course, I am beginning to feel more confident in sculpting, something I always tried to avoid (because I was afraid....).

I wasn't sure whether that was fur or clothing and I didn't know anything about Pokemon before, but I read in some stats, that Infernape is 87.5% male and 12.5% female...so I decided to interpret it as a dress.....the breast guards sort of look like a bra to me...
Didn't spend much time on the fire shader (or any shaders for that matter) because I spend last sunday about 18 hours of a Blender marathon to finish this on time, lol. So I was, like "Just render itas it is now."

Wow I'm behind the times - never heard of Infernape 😅 BUT I like what I'm seeing! As a more realistic interpretation I've very impressed with the level of detail.
My only notes have to do with the torso and fire brightness. The torso appears to be interpreted as a toga of sorts. Looking up artwork for infernape suggests to me that it's possibly fur like the head and lower leg? The clothing feels out of place imo, but this is subjective.
The fire seems to be suffering from colors transform imbalance. As in the interior of the flame appears dull instead of white hot. Seems like default filmic settings to me.
Overall great work, Spikey! We can always count on you to bring the heat 🔥

He looks awesome! I love the fire! Infernape is one of my favorite starter Pokemon.
