noonespecific I initially wanted to do a spherical array, realised that's not a thing you can do in Blender, then used this method of parenting an object to a sphere's vertices : https://blender.stackexchange.com/questions/29248/creating-a-spherical-array. The newest version of blender has seen some changes and had to google what i couldn't find exactly as in the tutorial!
