Why you should never shake your snow globes... 🤫
Ever wondered where Santa disappears to during his off-hours? Turns out, he developed a serious fondness for the Spanish Siesta on his yearly routes. 🇪🇸💤
He’s found the perfect hidden-in-plain-sight nap spot—tucked away inside the very globe sitting on your shelf.
Originally, the whole first bit would be solely a good snore session and I planned to post the full cinematic zoom-out, but after doing the math on 20,000 snow particles, glass, and fuzzy hair particles on Santa’s hat... my GPU asked for its own siesta. 💻😴
Plus, I have too many personal projects for a short holiday break, so I decided to move along with the other projects and leave these as statics.
Last year, I focused my personal projects on the stylized/character side. This year, I went head-first into photorealism. Did I manage to pick a favorite? Not really. I love both in their own way, and it always depends on the goal of the project. So here we are... a stylized Santa scene on a photorealistic console table.
VERY well done.
Thank you :)
Lovely scene Nat. I don't know why but the thing that gives it a nice touch for me are the inconspicuous keys and car key inside the little bowl there.
Thanks Omar! Yeah, I thought I'd make it more "real" with the usual stuff I have by my door too. Glad you noticed it.
And I'll definitely render a night time version of these... add some Christmas lights, maybe some moon lighting instead.
Cool, that little Christmas ball, and I think I can see Pierre-Henri dressed up as Santa Claus in the sleigh?
Merry Christmas, Nathi! ;) Supergreat!
Lol, yeah, Piere-Henri is catching a snooze.
Thanks Claire! Merry Christmas to you as well!
