Art Table Pre-Test Model Final

This is another piece of the puzzle for the photo-realistic Art Studio scene I will continue to work on. Using a simple fluid-sim I'm attempting to re-create the look and feel of an in-progress potter's wheel project. In order to mold the bowl to look incomplete, I simply used the "Random" vertex select tool in the select menu and switched on proportional editing with the "smooth" fall-off enabled and scaled the mesh up. Brutally honest feed-back wanted! Thank you ;)

  • Thank you! Depending on your situation you might also be able to try displacing the existing mesh (whatever you will be adding the weld joints to) via the displacement modifier. It may not work out to be the most efficient method available to you, but one that would afford you much more fine-grain control. Good luck!
