I've been scrounging around for new content that interests me, and this quickly started to reveal issues surrounding the way this site is put together. First off, if you go on the Courses page and search by author - going through each author in the list - you'll find that most of them have zero results. There's also no way to search for individual lessons, which I think is a crucial thing to have. On many occasions I've found more relevant results by opening Google and searching "cg cookie (topic)" and I really feel like this shouldn't be the case.
I'm also very annoyed by the fact that you can't go directly to an author's profile to view their tutorials that way, because user profiles are just a showcase of their submitted art.
I'd love to see a layout update to the site that actually... makes sense? Workarounds to these UI quirks/flaws shouldn't be workarounds, it should all be straightforward.
That's just my two cents. What do you all think?
I agree. Many of the authors that you can sort by are just people who wrote blog articles.
