Way to go ketre! I know that feeling when things *fit perfectly*. It's the best! Nice work 👍

    Good work Karen.

@theluthier I'm uploading my file for this last livestream, I will not have time to do anymore work on this project until August as I'm flying to Texas to be with my Kids and welcome a new Grandbaby into the world.  I started working on the lights and did ok on what's on top front and back. But the lights on the side I don't get. And didn't even try working on the mirrors. @ritag  she has my file and agreed to do the mirror.  So if anyone else wants to do the mirrors, that would be awesome! I will check in on progress etc. and try to be here for the next live stream.  I've really had fun / frustration and a feeling of accomplishment from this project. I absolutely love the Collaboration!

    Here's what I'm turning in

  • Kent Trammell replied

CONGRATS on the new grandbaby! I hope you enjoy the mess out of that special time.

Thanks for submitting your file early and connecting with Rita about the mirrors. Collaboration for the absolute WIN!

    I absolutely love the Collaboration!

Couldn't agree more. I want to see plenty more projects like this going forward :)

  • Karen Trevino(ketre) replied

@theluthier When is the blend file due before the next stream? I'm not giving up but at least I have finally got things straight with the windows.

Thing is to get the windows right it effects @adrian2301 I wan't to finish even if I'm too late to turn it in.

  • Karen Trevino(ketre) replied

blanchsb @adrian2301  anyone... please let me know when you are on.  I do NOT understand how to upload to the drive as I do not see what you are seeing. At anyone who could help I do not understand how to make the hinges.  That is the last thing I need to do.

  • spikeyxxx replied

    ketre can you see this:

    ?

If you make sure your current .blend file is named exactly as it is in the list, then you can pres the New button and select File Upload and chose your .blend.

  • Karen Trevino(ketre) replied

spikeyxxx  ok I gave it a try, my new file is uploaded into that drive. But was I supposed to save it as a linked file?

  • Karen Trevino(ketre) replied

@adrian2301  my biggest conscern at this time is...Kent had stated in the livestream about the windows being straight not curved so I straightened the line of the back part of the cab...trouble is there is now a gap 😣

  • spikeyxxx replied

Looks like you did all right:

  • Karen Trevino(ketre) replied

Thank you, can you check it out and possibly direct me on how to make the hinges? If you want we can get on discord :)

  • spikeyxxx replied

Hey Karen, about the gaps between window and frame:

you need to line up the vertices of the frame and window:

which you have at the bottom, but not at the sides. Should be something like this (simplified):

    I hope this makes sense.

I messed up my OS and lost the Discord, so I'll have to re-connect somehow and thinking about how complicated that was last time...Can't even remember how I got it working eventually...

Any way, It's getting late here now...I'll try and get Discord working again, tomorrow..That'll be a lot easier to trouble shoot and help modelling...

Hinges shouldn't be a problem; we'll get those made tomorrow if you didn't sort them out already by then;)

  • Karen Trevino(ketre) replied

Thank you spikeyxxx  I closed it for now. I've spent that last several days working on it. I'll look for you tomorrow.

  • Shawn Blanch(blanchsb) replied

Hey ketre I am out on Vacation all week and am able to check in a little bit here and there to help out.

Looks like spikeyxxx has you back (thanks buddy). He's quite the stud.

Hopefully I can lend a hand with a link for the hinges and how to demystify them: As far as the hinges are concerned there was a lecture video on creating some hinges on Kent's course Creating a Wall of Mailboxes.

Creating Hinges - Part of Creating a Wall of Mailboxes Course

Hopefully that will help out a little.
