Creating a team of members?

Hello guys.

I am wondering if youre looking for persons to work together on a big project.
what place is the best to look for?

for now i am not looking yet for creating a team but i do look for someone who could make a boy/male sculpted base , the same style as i  went for (animation style)

at this point i dont have income so i have to watch out with what i do but i do would like to go further with my project.
so if i can pay someone for what i want i surely will :)

Then i am also thinking what is a fair price to pay someone to create a character base sculpted

    Hey Yukino,
Late last year I was in the same situation you are in now. I had a small project in mind and for some of the tasks, my own skills were not equivalent to my expectations. What I did to find help was browse forums and galleries. Specifically I looked at, Polycount forums (artist looking for work section), CG cookie gallery, and Artstation. I kept an eye out for portfolios that had styles that were in line with what I had envisioned for the project. If I liked someones portfolio and it said they were available for commission/freelance I would contact them. Now, I probably could have gone on a few forums and place a "help wanted" post. But at the time, I was way more comfortable with getting turned down by those I contacted then to have to turn down someone else because their portfolio wasn't what I had in mind. But I think either way would work.

When contacting people or placing your wanted post try to be much more detailed then what you have above. You don't have to give away your original idea exactly. But try to let these people know what you're trying to do and why its exciting for you. I received way more replies back after explaining my project and why I was doing it, then I did with a general "Hey! I see you freelance. You available?"

Pay is a touchy subject. It can vary from artist to artist and project to project. Remember you're asking someone to spend 8+hrs on a project you probably care about. Unless this is someone close to you and offering up their free time, you'll want to pay a fair price. When I was budgeting my project I did some research into the local average salary of someone in that field. Lets say that turns out to be $60k a year. It roughly breaks down to $250/day. Then double that because of the typical taxes and overhead a freelancer could have. So you're sitting at $500/day. This is just an estimate, it could easily fluctuate higher or lower. But it will help you think about the expenses you will be working with.

I hope this helps you out.

Thanks a lot for the info.

That is way more then i expected xD .But understandable.
Trough it seems i wont be able to pay anyone , anytime soon it seems.
At this moment when i would hire someone even with full loan i could use only 4 days xD and thats without my own payments having to be made so i would be screwed :p
But maybe in the future i can hopefully. at least ill try my best :D
