Apologies for this ffjag. I completely agree. This new version of exercises is brand new with kinks still to work out. If your exercise fails with no explanation, currently that means that it didn't receive enough grades in the time window allotted (3 days I think). We decided to go this direction so submissions don't disappear into the void without resolution.
However at the moment I'm not being notified of new submissions so I haven't been made aware without manually checking the page. I'm pushing to have that changed soon!
In the meantime, please resubmit your exercise and let me know when you do so here. I'll promptly grade it :)
Hi Kent,
I have the same question. :3 (And apparently almost all submissions end in "failed" on this exercise.)
I resubmitted mine too. I wanted to delete the old one, but the server had a hiccup and deletion ended in the error message "We're sorry, but something went wrong. - If you are the application owner check the logs for more information." Oh well, it was still deleted it seems.
Anyway, have a nice Sunday! Or Monday when you read this. :)
I also received a fail with no explanation. The fail doesn't bother me, but would like to know why if possible! After reading this post, I'll resubmit as well.
@kouya falker Thanks for the feedback! I will make sure our web dev sees this 👌
Hello Kent Trammell (theluthier)
My first submission failed within 3 Minutes on Tuesday evening. I resubmitted yesterday and I got a positive feedback (that is why I am assuming I should pass) but also failed again within 1 day (it sais grading needs to happen in 7 days). I am not sure why. Is there something wrong with the grading system or with my submission? I really like it, when my process status is at 100% that is why I would really like to pass. :-)
Thank you for your help.
philip79 It definitely sound like something is screwy with the new system. I'm passing along your feedback to the dev thread.
