Hi there, i've been trying to use fluid sims in 2.8 and every time I seem to get the fluid sim generates a mesh with sharp edges and settles into square puddles,
I've tried with higher res simulations up to 300 so far and while the corners of the puddles become more beveled they still settle as squares rather than the circular shape a puddle should have. I used fluids before in 2.7 and i never found it to behave in this way, if anyone could suggest settings that would resolve this.

Interesting! I could try messing with the file if you want to upload it, but I can't think of anything off the top of my head. I haven't used fluids in a while and I've kind of avoided diving back in since the new Mantaflow system is set to replace the existing system in 2.82 or 2.83 sometime.
Sure I just edited the question and added the file too it. I'll have to look into mantaflow,
Edit: I went and tried the mata flow build and the difference is night and day , a similar set up has drastically different, but better results.
