Fix some issues with my project

Hello ladies and gentleman,

I started a new project to get more familiar with materials, shader etc.

I wanna create this picture (https://photories.site/den-mond-stehlen/) by my self but there are several problems I just don´t know how to fix. I even don´t know how to google for these reasons. Therefore I wanna ask here for some help.

I created the glass and inside another object, for the "water". I used the particle system, to create the stars. my first Problem is, how can I put the moon into the glass? I  created the moon and placed him in the "water" but then he´s taking the color from the "water" and that´s not what I want. I also have trouble making the moon more lowing. I but the emission up but there is nearly no glowing to see.

Another problem is the blue effect of the "water" at the top of the bottle (marked on the picture). You can see the border from the "water" but above is also blue and I don´t know how to fix this.

Maybe you have some advice for me.

Thanks in advance! :)

I would suggest separating out some of the pieces and compositing them back together.  Maybe do a render of the bottle with just the moon and stars, then do just the water, and blend the images either in the compositor or an image editing software.  The glow from the moon can be added in post also with a glare node set to fog glow.

I would suggest you two methods:

    1. You can create a texture in Photoshop and unwrap the object.

    2. You can render the moon as a separate layer and then in the composition node add a glow node.

For the top part of the liquid you can separating that part and then texture it with a bit of transparency.

Have you watched the Shader Forge video on water, specifically refraction and reflection? https://cgcookie.com/lesson/refractions-reflections. It shows some interesting nodes to change the water color and properties with depth.

Thank you all a lot for all the tips. I will try them soon :)
