In the old forum, you could just paste in the link for a youtube video or a sketchfab model and it would be visible in right on the forum post to see without leaving the page.
In this new forum, all you see is the is the text link and have to click it and navigate away from the post.
Am I doing something wrong? With the sketchfab model , I even tried pasting in the embed code ( both BB code and IFRAME , but still no luck.
Any ideas?
I was able to embed a Vimeo video. Turned on the post's "code view" (</>) and pasted in the embed iframe. Hopefully it will be similar for others - haven't tried yet.
Sorry to bump an old thread, but I'm having trouble embedding my sketchfab link in the forum - am I missing something obvious?
Does it work if you click the Chain Link icon and past the link from sketchfab's shared link?

Just seems to give me a clickable link 🤔
michaelmirn how did you embed your sketchfab of your Reitwagon into your post? I know that you got it work to work wonderfully. Now I am curious too!
Well, there is no problem with YT linking but, sadly, it is only possible to link SF into your Project page. In forum it appears as a text hyperlink (see Keith's post above) or plain code:
<div class="sketchfab-embed-wrapper">
<iframe title="A 3D model" width="640" height="480" src="https://sketchfab.com/models/f8f37bf684df4836961caa2491762843/embed?autostart=1&ui_controls=1&ui_infos=1&ui_inspector=1&ui_stop=1&ui_watermark=1&ui_watermark_link=1" frameborder="0" allow="autoplay; fullscreen; vr" mozallowfullscreen="true" webkitallowfullscreen="true"></iframe></div>
I guess that probably makes sense. Your Project Page Gallery is probably the location that was designed for the SKetchFab links and probably not the intention for the chat.
@nphaskins Nick is this expected behavior and/or is it possible to make SketchFab Links work in forum pages?
