I was asked on Instagram how do I approach drawing animals and rather than write a lengthy response, why not do a stream showing that? So today's stream let's talk about how to observe/study/draw any animal in the kingdom! Bring some suggestions on what animal you would like seen drawn and I will give it a shot!

So, I chose a Platypus to try and blind draw. I think what I can learn is that I have clearly never seen one in my life before and that Phineas and Ferb has been steering me wrong all my life. xD Now i know though that they are actually very furry creatures that don't REALLY have a beaver tail.
The "Blind Test" is a new challenge I've made up and I think there is a lot of learning that can be done. This forces you to actively think about what you are drawing and then after you finish, recognize the mistakes and what needs to be edited. Below are a few from the livestream earlier today and I definitely think this challenge will appear again sometime soon =]
