when I set the parent to the rivet02_path seems that the formation of my rivets are correct but they are much wider than the rivet02_path so it seems that the scale is off maybe?
I went back to where I saved it from the last lesson and re-did it. I noticed that when you said to hit shift D on the empty you actually meant the rivet, just in case anyone else has that issue, the first time I also didn't notice that you jumped back into edit mode. Re-did it and it worked great.
