Can't get proportional editing to work right. I am following along and have rewound about 10 times now but can't get it to work. I had it working and my computer froze, so I lost all my work and had to restart the course. Proportional editing works on some things but not others. for one thing, I do not see the circle that shows when you increase the editing by rolling the middle mouse button. that has never worked correctly. I am at a loss...
Hmm, if you don't see the circle then it is likely either too large or too small to see. You can check this in the redo panel by the toolbar. Changing this setting after the fact won't give you the circle, but you should see the influence of the proportional editing affecting nearby objects change as you slide this up or down.
