I am having issues trying to link in the file. When I open up the file directly from the download it opens up but the head on the left and mouth chart on the right are showing as purple squares and i am not sure how to get them to the way they are supposed to look. When i try linking in from a new file, i cannot find the file anywhere even after making sure it is in a certain folder. The file from the download also doesn't show the data inside the file so i cant do group>2d baker
Hmm - I can't remember if I set that one up to be able to link. I usually do, so I don't see why I wouldn't have for this.
The purple textures mean that it can't find the location of the images. From memory the textures should be in a subfolder located in the same directory as the rig file. If you open it from the download it works, Just check you are NOT using cycles. This is the Blender internal rendered, so it won't work in cycles (or in 2.8 either :( )Update: I just checked the linking and yes it should work.
i was able to link it in but it is still purple i am not sure what to do and i am not using cycles. from the download i can see all the textures there as they are in the video but they are still purple. when i opened a new file and linked 2d baker & the rig proxy they are also still purple. i tried linking in all the textures from the texture folder as well but nothing happens
The first thing I would try is redownloading the source files to make sure you haven't broken your local copy.
Then open the file and see if it is working.
Also check under File > External Data > Report Missing Files
This will tell you what is broken. But I have a feeling if you redownload it will work.
i tried re downloading it and the same issue is still there. i did report missing files and it said mouth_ui_panel_.png not found. I also am having trouble finding the missing files as i am not finding the demystifying lip sinc source files anywhere even after going to the folder i put them in
Can you search on your computer for 'mouth_u_panel'?
It sounds like they have been moved. This will hopefully reconnect everything for you.
Good luck Snappy. You can do it.
Did you move the texture folder with the blend file as well?
Check that you don't have any file 'filters' turned on (that hide certain types of files in the navigator)
But I think if you have to 'find missing files' you just select the folder that they are in, not the actual files.
