I keep getting "circular reference in texture stack' error, cannot bake normal map, smoothed both high and low poly objects. Found a hint on some forum to uncheck 'N_bake' texture assigned to low poly object in properties/textures, this helped to bake a normal map, am I doing something wrong?

    Yes, I would say you've got something wrong in the setup as I rarely get that error. I'm not sure exactly what it is - I recommend re-watching this video and double checking your setup.

    In my case I had a material assigned to the low poly object. Deleting it and rebaking the normals did the trick.
