I think you mean enabling or disabling multiple scene layers? If so, the hotkey for enabling multiple layers is to hold SHIFT while clicking layers. The "~" hotkey (tilde) will enable/disable all layers.

Thanks Kent, now I understand, another question: to model a character is better to use mouse or graphics tablet?
