Feedback on my Sculpture

Hey everyone! I've been working through the HUMAN course for a while now and have probably spent hundreds of hours on this character. No matter how much I tweak it, I keep finding new things that bother me. Below is my progress on a female character I'm building for an animated short. Overall I think she's coming along, but something still feels off and I can't quite nail down what it is — whether it's the proportions, the shape of the head, or something else entirely. I haven't put much time into the forehead and upper skull yet since that area will be covered by hair. Fresh eyes would be really helpful. Any feedback or advice is greatly appreciated!026-07-02 185124.png026-07-02 185137.png026-07-02 185145.png026-07-02 185201.png

Is this only the sculpt, or is this the retopo? If it's the latter, do you have the mesh?

At a first look, the biggest thing I'm seeing is in the ear... almost looks like you have a double Y (the Y formation and then a Y off of that).  Also, with the neck, the two muscles up at the front feel a bit too defined for hte pose to me (though I think this is something that can vary somewhat. It feels more defined like it would be under tension with the head raised or turned to me. Also, I think looking at some references really quick it feels like it's too wide at the base. Most of the women necks I'm seeing are more of a V shaped in that area (even if the muscle feels less defined in the references I was glancing at, you could detect more of a V shape to the neck muscles.

Overall, though, it looks great to me so far!

(Yeah, after I posted, I did see maybe a couple where it wasn't as much of a V, but for the most part, more of a V and less defined... the more defined female ones typically are older and/or more emaciated.)

Hey, thanks for the feedback! Yeah, this is only the sculpt. Once I'm somewhat satisfied with the head, I'll move on to the rest of the body, and only after that's done will I move on to retopo. I can definitely see what you're criticising about both the ear and the neck. I've looked at them countless times but somehow never really noticed the second Y shape. And regarding the V shape of the neck — I have seen reference images where this part of the neck was quite prominent, but you're right, it doesn't really fit with the rest of the head. I'll definitely dial it back a bit. Thanks for the Help.
