Vertex Bevel / Edge bevel

At the 5:15 mark in the video, the author moves the Vertex Bevel modifier above the Edge Bevel. However, when I change the order, they seem to overwrite each other. Whichever modifier is placed on top of the stack is the only one that displays on the object, while the bottom one completely disappears. In the tutorial, both bevels work together perfectly.

Could you please help me figure out what I might have missed? I have attached screenshots for reference.

Thank you!

    Hi Kazim kkazim ,

That's probably the Clamp Overlap kicking in. With such a large Vertex Bevel as you have, the Edge Bevel doesn't have much room left.

Remember, that what Clamp Overlap does, is that as soon as two Vertices 'touch', anywhere in the Modell, before they 'cross over', the Modifier stops Beveling. Also, with Modifiers the order matters! Think of what the first Modifier does, then consider what the second Modifier does with the Modified Mesh.

Please read carefully through the other questions and answers under this Lesson; at least 2 of them are very much related to this.
