Do you mean named attribute ID?

posted to: Ending with a Bang

If I remember, we didn't use the index earlier because of the letter swapping as the tiles animated, so wouldn't you actually use the named attribute id to plug into the instance index if you wanted the caps to spell a word so that the letters didn't swap?

(Main reason I figured this out is because I tried it :D )

    Hi Grady,

    Yes! You are absolutely correct.

So, to be clear, it should be like this:

Correct, this works just as well, but in my setup I'd still need to rotate either the letters or the grid entirely for the letters to be in the correct order and make them legible!

When I did the word one, I did rotate the letters :D

Main reason I brought it up is that at one point in a previous video, you'd shown the jumping letters caused by using index instead of the named attribute ID, so I thought I'd mention it here for anyone who comes in after wondering why, when they used the word version, it was jumping letters around :D
