Here I am with yet another problem from being the weird mac user amongst the 3D artists lol.
Turns out MaxCut is only available in windows, which is a shame.
I searched for some alternatives and while none of them were awesome, this was the one I settled on: OptiCutter.

You can run it straight from this free calculator (they have a few different ones. I'm using the 2D for the plywood parts of my project and the linear foot one for the hardwood components). Or you can sign up to have your projects and history saved. There's a free tier.
Figured I'd share to save any other mac users the time.
