I did all the necessary steps and checked that i selected the good target object but the boolean modifier seems to work only on float and not in exact , is that a problem?
Booleans can be very finnicky and sometimes moving a Cutter ever so slightly can make all the difference (pun intended). Same with changing the Solver.
When you've got it working with one of the Solver Methods, it's okay.

It is as Martin says. You don't have to worry, if one of the methods is giving you the result you want, then it's all fine. Booleans are mischievous by nature, they'll drive you crazy if you pay them too much attention.
