    Hi Hillerl,

Well, that doesn't sound normal, But I'd need more information.

A timestamp would be great, so I know what part of the video you are referring to.

    Don't forget to add Screenshots.

What do you mean by applying the Bool Tool?

And anything else you can think of, that might be helpful.

Did you by chance use the bool tool in the n-panel and chose auto-boolean? Because that will indeed simply perform the boolean operation and convert the target to mesh, and with it applying all modifiers on it.

You want to use either the brush boolean, or the shortcut ctrl+ numpad-, which uses brush boolean too.

I think I remember Kent using it and it applying things automatically. So most likely it is as Sascha says. And as Martin says, you can add more context to the question so we know for sure, timestamps, screenshots, etc.

Ah yes, so you are using the auto-boolean, just not in the n-panel, by adding the shift to your shortcut. ctrl + shift + - performs the auto-boolean.

Ctrl + - performs the brush boolean and your modifiers stay intact.
