I am currently using the new version of InstaMat and unfortunately I can not find "smart masks" in this version.

"Smart Masks" is really just a concept/term that Substance Painter uses, which is the software we are using in this particular video.
In InstaMAT, you will simply be using one of the various types of "masks", from which you can build any effect you desire.
