when I enter a submission I can't paste the url in the url field because it's the youtube video is a short. I now paste it in the description field instead. Can't the maker of the website make it so that the field accepts a short url?
Unless I’m misunderstanding the submission is a file upload so it doesn’t accept a URL. The file formats accepted are shown next to the upload field

In the short URL you can remove shorts/ and insert watch?v=
Example:
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/86mxPnW6CSg
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=86mxPnW6CSg
That should work for exercise submissions.
