CORE: Mesh Modeling Final Project Progress

Hi again,

I've been working on my project today. I welcome any feedback. I definitely feel like I need to thicken up the barrel of the stylus. I have a slim Huion stylus, but it looks too thin now that I've assembled things together.

I'm currently modeling the objects individually and copy/pasting them into one Blend file.

I can't believe how much I've learned in less than a week! I could barely navigate Blender at the beginning of the month. I'm really enjoying Blender now that I feel more comfortable. Thanks, CG Cookie!

Yo this looks great man, keep it up.

Is that a little WiFi router in the right corner?

Edit: I’m also working on my first isometric room. You said you’re copy-pasting every blend file into a single one, but what I’m doing instead is keeping everything in one file and organizing them into collections. After I finish a model, I move it into its own collection and just disable/hide that collection when I’m working on the next piece. That way I don’t have any unnecessary objects cluttering the workspace.

Yep looking great, I agree with Deb.

And that is the sentiment of most people when they find CG Cookie, they finally begin to learn for reals. This truly is the best place to learn Blender.

Thanks Deb and Omar! I appreciate the advice about organizing the final file, Deb. I plan to make the room itself today or tomorrow, so I’ll start doing that on the final file. I made this file to check the scale on what I’d made so far.  I think your advice will be very helpful. Thank you!

As for the object in the right corner. I’m not sure if you mean on the desktop or below it. The object on the desktop is a slim stylus inside a donut-shaped stylus holder. The object under the desktop on the right is the control panel and mechanism for my motorized standing desk. It makes the long, horizontal cylinder spin and that raises the desk.

Also, shout out to Omar for replying to every post I’ve made so far. Much appreciated!
