Hi! As part of the Fundamentals of Digital Lighting in Blender course, for the assignment Match Lighting a Digital Portrait, I thought I’d start my own polybook/progress thread. I’ll probably be adding more of my works here in the future and documenting my learning process. Thanks for stopping by to check out my practice projects!

For the Match Lighting a Digital Portrait exercise, I wanted to choose images that hold some personal meaning for me. That’s why I picked scenes and images from my favorite shows, games, as well as one legendary album cover. I tried to capture the colors and mood of the originals without directly imitating them. Personally, I’m especially happy with Nevermind and the Russian roulette scene from Squid Game.
