The functionality of this add-on is pretty awesome! Did it ever get released anywhere by chance? Or available in the CGCookie website somewhere?
I'm using the linked library + vertex paint workflow on a project full of logos that share the same "base materials", and can totally see the benefit of more global changes being made easier.
ps. in case it makes it easier, the add-on is mentioned on the demo at about 17 minutes into the stream.
That is probably the one Shawn put together. Maybe you can convince him to work on it some more and sell it on Superhive. Because I believe he only did that for the Collab. Shawn has got a bouncer's mind, so he's probably already on a totally new project, conquering some other hard to conquer skill like it's nothing.
It definitely is the one. Dang! Gotta send him an appeal. lol
