Hi, total rookie here and I'm on Blender Basics 15 tutorial. The grid fill isn't working as illustrated around the 6:25 mark of the video. I have re-watched and repeated the steps several times. I have even closed and re-started Blender. Screenshots attached showing my workflow. Suggestions?
Hello. You can ask questions on any lesson of any course, it's better because they even stay there for someone who later comes and might be wondering the same thing. I'm not sure which one is tutorial 15, since they are not numbered, but I'm going to guess it's the one titled Subdivide, Fill and Merge? Yep, nailed it.
Don't worry, Grid Fill is one of those operators that is a little bit finicky, you always have to play around with the settings on the last operation box to get the fill right. That's the menu that pops up on the bottom left, with grid fill it has the span and offset options. I think you can safely move ahead without worrying about it, since you'll be using much more of that later on and in a more controlled setting. In the Blender Basics it's just a demo of everything to get an uber idea of Blender.
One last thing, there's a small glitch on the forum where the first post can't upload images. We say glitch but I think it's a feature, just so in later pages the same images don't have to upload again and again, so images you usually post on the second post.
