Solidify Modifier vs manual depth

Will there be any difference or potential issue using solidify modifier to make the inner side of the cup or giving thickness to the cup instead of inserting and extruding down??

    Hi Abdul aabdulfahim83 ,

The main difference, that I can think of, is that the handle would also get 'Solidified'. That actually means, that it becomes hollow.

With a ceramic material, this will probably not give any problems, but with glass, for instance, it would make a noticeable difference.

That being said, I would highly encourage you to try it out with a Solidify Modifier.

One thing you learn with time is that in Blender there is no wrong way, there's just a lot of ways and some are more efficient than others, but that also depends on the situation. So all that to say, you can try any approach you want, that way you start to get a feel on when to use a certain technique and when not to.
