The ability to download content here has been a pretty big deal to me because I'm a merchant mariner; I board large commercial vessels and perform plant maintenance in the engine room while the vessel is underway. I go extended periods of time (up to four months) with poor internet access and so it's been essential to me that I'm able to download select content before setting sail.
I've noticed this course is not able to be downloaded? This is really unfortunate because this course is the most sensible refresher course, for when real life has kept me inactive from practicing Blender for any degree of time. Is it possible to make this course capable of download?
Ah I see, because it's on YouTube and you would need YouTube Premium to download it. There are lots of websites that lets you download YouTube videos though and it's not illegal and this course is free after all, you could try that. But if you're like nah, that sounds too much if a hassle, tell me and I can tell Amber to see if there's something she can do about it. What you do for a living sounds cool, I bet it beats being stuck in an office.Â
If they can make it available here, that would be best for me (and others also), but if they come back and say that's not something they can do, then I can look at alternative options. I lean on consistency a lot and I like all the files being in the same format and the same size and what not; I've become accustom to the video quality here, so if they can do it here, that would be preferred, but do let me know if they say it's something they can't do anytime soon.
Amber says "since that is hosted on YouTube it doesn’t have the same services available as those we host on our video service where we can offer downloads. Sorry I can’t be more helpful on this one."
So you can totally go with the downloading directly from YouTube option.Â
If you are going to download from YT, I can recommend YT-DLP:

It's Command Line, but extremely versatile and fast. There is also a Browser version and I believe for Windows also a GUI version, but I haven't tried those.
you can't have it all, I suppose. Lol. I can look into that command line tool.
what do I do with the binary after downloading it?
I appreciate the help, but I couldn't figure it out; I downloaded the file listed and that's about as far as I got; I couldn't make heads or tails out of the instructions and everything I tried from the terminal failed. No more help needed; I'm chalking this one up, but thanks for trying!
I've used this website:Â https://yt1d.com/en306/Â
Copy the link into the box. I use the lower resolution. I haven't downloaded the program so I have no information about that.Â
I'm not comfortable with sites like that; I'll go without, but thank you.
