What was the default UP-unwrap?

In a CG cookie texture video, the author unwrapped using the former default unwrap method. Now in the updated version of blender, it forces me to choose a specific method. What was the default they use in years-old videos?

    HI Sid,

There has been some re-arranging of options, but the only new option is  Minimum Stretch (Aka: S.L.I.M.):

    Angle Based was the default.

Thanks for replying, but I don't know you understand my post.

In the CORE textures video, the author uses an deprecated UV unwrapping method. It was the default. It means with one click, without choosing a method, it unwrapped according to the seams.

Now, in the 4+ version of blender, I can't tell what's going on with the seams I marked in relation to the video, because it always *forces* me to choose a specific method rather than relying on the former default. Whatever the old default was, I don't know. What was the former default in terms of current methods?

    HI Sid,

    CORE uses 4.2.

There is no deprecated Unwrap method.

The one-click Unwrap used the Angle Based, as I mentioned above. The Adjust Last Operation box (also available with the  F9 key) let's you change that, as shown in my screenshot above(left in 4.2, right in 4.3).

    So, in 4.2 we had:

    Unwrap_42.png

    And in 4.3+:

    Unwrap_43.png

And look again at my other Screenshot with the Adjust Last Operations Panels.

It's, like I already said, a simple re-ordering of options and one new one.
