What do you do after CORE materials? Let's say I've completed the CORE Materials course, or any CORE course for that matter. What's next? Is there a semester 2 to any of these?

After that you are free to chose any course, depending on what you want to focus on. I personally think people should focus on modeling first.

  • While I haven't completed many of the core courses, I have completed the majority of the fundamentals courses (which in most part are the same, if not the core being updated with new information and techniques etc). My intention was to do fundamentals/cores, so I could figure out which area I enjoyed the most. That being animation, where I am currently undertaking the animation bootcamp course and will then take the subsequent body mechanics and acting courses.

Under the playlists tab you'll likely find playlists put together for areas that people might want to specialise in. There is also a Generalists playlist (which could do with having the core courses added to it to be fair).

Modelling is absolutely a great start. After doing a number of the fundamentals I jumped into the pothead course which utilised nearly everything that I had learnt.

I myself, and many others here might be able to help point you in a direction if you have an idea what you might want to specialise in? Ie, what interests you, or what has you the most excited to learn about?
