even loop cuts issue

Maybe this will clear up how Loop Cut works and what Even means:

What you might want to use is a Knife Cut: K(nife), A(ngle Constraint), C(ut through), ENTER:

As martin showed, since the length of your edges vary, the middle point will be different for each of them. So Blender is making them even. The thing is a loop cut is not the right tool for the situation. So yes, a knife cut will do the trick in this situation.

Another Tool you could use, is the Bisect (Submenu of the Active Tool Knife):

This can also be found under Mesh > Bisect.

You will need to Select your Mesh, or at least the part that you want to cut through.

To be honest, I hardly ever use this one (because I forget it exists, not because it is bad).
