Extruding on Normals, corners

I'm missing something, When I extrude along normals the corners create a more geometry.

    Extruding always creates more Geometry.

    Can you please try to explain better, what your problem is and add some screenshots to make us understand?

    Hi Wilson,

    Are you using the shortcut ALT+E?

    And if so, are you sure you clicked Extrude Faces Along Normals and not accidentally Extrude Individual Faces?

    Or hit ALT+E and then I?

    Yes, tried both ways. including my whole screen incase theres a setting I'm missing. Thanks for taking a look!

    Okay Wilson,

    I think you might have so-called 'double Vertices...Try this:

    Select everything (with A) and the M > Merge > By Distance.

    Then try the Extrude Along Normals again.
