added a few extra edge loops to the final crate of the 1st chapter
just added an additional "secret shelf" which i accidentally open! I played with a few selection tools and modifiers.
Still need to understand more about the different between adding bevel modifier and supporting loops to get a better shape when using subdivision, still in the first few chapters
Those are practically doing the same function, in that they are holding the geometry up and tight. When you add supporting loops it's like adding a belt to pants to hold them in place, you put an edge super close to the other so that the geometry doesn't smooth too much. The Bevel modifier is splitting the edge and it's as if you are placing supporting loops next to edges. It's tricky to explain but as you watch more tutorials and practice more, it becomes intuitive.
