Hey Wayne @waylow!
Just a follow up on this, and a recommendation for whoever might read this later...
I only got the download with the warm up exercises by the time I was on the Parent Switch exercise. So I followed along from my previous Fundamentals of Rigging file, recreating the files from the schematics after watching the videos. The recreation of those was not only not a hassle at all, but extremely helpful. The whole UI from that side of Blender is very new to me (I literally just took the Fundamentals of Rigging a couple of weeks ago because it was recommended in one the last Macro Sessions I'm to complete) so even the most basic things like setting up colors, arranging Bones in groups (yay for collections on 4x!), the hotkeys and the whole sequencing of clicks was weird to me at first. It all feels very intuitive now, and I'm sure partially because I repeated these actions so many times to go over these exercises.
And last bit of feedback: I haven't gotten to the next chapter yet and I'm sure it'll get way more complex, but after recreating these 5 rigs through the schematics I think I can confidently read them! I'm not gonna lie, I thought it was just not gonna happen at first.
So if anyone reading this and is a total newbie to rigging such as myself, I recommend starting from scratch and not following the start_up files.
I'm enjoying the course very much. On to the next chapter!
I'm glad you can see your knowledge growing, Nathi!
The start files were uploaded last night, (even though some of them are just a blank file we will get emails and questions about them being missing. I'm sure now we will get emails and questions about them being blank haha.
I'm just finishing up adding these as actual exercises to the course. If you reload the course page you will probably see Ex01-05 slotted in where they are meant to be. It looks like you have already completed them so feel free to upload your files as submissions and I will check them out.
