You probably have double vertices there or a face on top of a face. So for starters, select everything that makes the D-Pad and M to merge by distance. If you want to troubleshoot that part better, you can also with X delete only faces and fill them one by one.

Hi Ahmet, it looks like you have so-called 'double Vertices' (here: overlapping Faces).

Exaggerated, something like this, maybe:

Select everything (with 'A', not with Box Select!), or the whole D pad (with Transparent Mode/X-ray vision) and the M > Merge > By Distance.

You can also just re-model the D-Pad from scratch.

For instance: start with a Plane, Subdivide (Number of Cuts: 2), so you get:

and then Delete those 4 corner Vertices.
