Knee Joint???

posted to: Modeling Cleanup

It's been bugging me ever since we did the right leg... How does he walk with no knee joint?  I started looking at the vidoes again and I think the bit jutting out could be connected to a hinge maybe?  I'm now contemplating on whether he needs a gas strut or something to make the knee actually work??  As a firefighter I tend to get wrapped up in the mechanical features of how things work and with autism in addition to this my head won't let this go until I am happy. Lol.  Guess, I haven't finished the modelling just yet >.<

I mean that's part of the awesomeness, to make it even cooler by going the extra mile with the thought process. You're making great additions to the character as you go, making it better and making it your very own. 🤟🏼

Yes, I can totally relate to that Paul!

I like it! I think that works well. When I made a quick run for him for the trailer, I skipped using a knee at all and made the whole leg a little flexible with a bendy bone. There was some flex, but no actual joint or full bend. I could definitely see that being useful though.
