View vs. Frame

With the tilda menu, it shows `View Selected`
But the View menu shows `Frame Selected`
Both of these seem to do the exact same, are they the same with two names or does one have a slight difference? Pretty curious! :D

    Hi Jason,

those are exactly the same. Frame Selected is probably the old name that hasn't been updated in the View Menu.

    View Selected is more accurate.

Fun fact: there are in the Node Editor two operations that are in the Preferences Keymap still both called Frame Selected, but only one of them actually puts a Frame around the Selected Nodes (a Node Wrangler function, I believe):

The python operation is called view_selected. The newer term is frame selected. The Pie menu enumerates the view operators so it shows up as view selected instead of frame selected. ddemonslayer112 to answer your question they are the same thing. @martainBergwerf The frame selected in node editor is not a node wrangler option(although node wrangler does change this operator) this creates a frame around the selected nodes.

    Thanks a lot Dwayne dillenbata3 ,

I didn't know that, but you are (of course) absolutely right; View Selected is the old name.

Also, I just thought it was Node Wrangler, because it says node.nw_frame_selected , but yes , iNode Wrangler just uses a different shortcut, but  CTRL+J also frames the Selected Nodes (with or without Node Wrangler enabled).

I've never used the tilde, having always used the period on the numpad, so I never get to see the name. Cool to know.
